on Crack Paths

The 9th International Conference on Crack Paths (CP 2027) is organised by the University of Parma, with the support of the Italian Group of Fracture (IGF) and the TC03 “Fatigue of Engineering Materials and Structures” of the European Structural Integrity Society (ESIS).
The CP 2027 edition will take place in Parma, Italy and online (8 - 10 June 2027).


Main Topics of the Conference
Crack growth can occur under both static and fatigue loading. A complete solution to a crack-growth problem includes the determination of the crack path. The crack path in critical components or structures where crack propagation occurs may determine whether failure is benign or catastrophic. Knowledge of potential crack paths is also required for the selection of appropriate non-destructive testing procedures.
This Conference follows the Conferences in Parma in 2003 and 2006, Vicenza in 2009, Gaeta in 2012, Ferrara in 2015, Verona in 2018, online in 2021 and Rimini & online in 2024. It is a hybrid event, with oral sessions, as well as online presentations (live and repository).
English will be the official language of the Conference. Accepted abstracts will be published in the online Book of Abstracts of the 9th International Conference on Crack Paths (CP 2027).
Researchers from academia and industry worldwide are invited to contribute presentations on any of the following topics, under both static and fatigue loading conditions:
